Savills staff have secured places on various committees within the Property Council of Australia, with 13 representatives from the company announced as members for the 2019/2020 year.
Savills is set to have strong representation in the Property Council of Australia for 2019/2020 after 13 of its staff were announced as successful applicants to committees.
Representatives from New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia will help comprise the various PCA divisions, which including Capital Markets, Future Directions, Commercial Office, Industrial Property and Retail.
Savills Australia CEO Paul Craig said the company's overall aim in applying for the committees was “to ensure that Savills has a strong national representation".
“Being a member of a Property Council committee helps our people make an important contribution to the industry, as well as build their professional networks and personal brands,” he said.
“It also helps them to develop their market knowledge and become a leader among their peers.”
Of the 13 selected, five were female, which Mr Craig said was in line with the company's "drive for greater female presence in our industry".

Among them was South Australian Retail Leasing Executive Natasha Bertram, who will form part of the SA Main Streets & Retail committee.
She told WILLIAMS MEDIA it was "an honour" to be accepted on the council.
"I'm really looking forward to being able to give leasing feedback as part of the committee," she said.
"Those type of contributions are important, because the reports that come out are not always going to be in our favor."
