A new urban respite has been added to the Angel Place office building in Sydney's CBD.
The fresh water supply of 18th-century New South Wales has inspired the newest addition to Sydney's Angel Place.
The Foundry was unveiled by AMP Capital on Monday as a place where customers and guests can meet and collaborate.
Spread out across 170 square metres, the project was a collaboration between AMP Capital, FDC Construction, Hassell Studio, Knight Frank and Intel.
Hassell Designer Angela O’Connor said the aim was to make the space a product of its environment.
"Our design draws on the history of the area – the Tank Stream and its historical typography – to create a warm and welcoming retreat," she said.
"The private workspaces utilise earthy tones and natural materials to complement the lush green moss wall creating an urban respite. "
Located in the heart of Sydney's CBD, Angel Place is a 35-storey A Grade office building comprising of 47,250 square metres of net lettable area.
It has frontage along Pitt Street and secondary frontages to Ash Street and Angel Place.
