Savills Australia has recruited David Howson as State Director of its Queensland Office Leasing division.
Mr Howson joins Savills from Knight Frank, where he held the role of National Head Office Leasing, based in Sydney, for the past three years.
Prior to that, he held roles for Knight Frank and CBRE in Queensland.
Mr Howson is highly regarded within the industry, having been awarded Dexus’ Agent of the Year in 2016.
Savills Australia’s National Head of Office Leasing, Graham Postma said the company was "delighted" to have secured someone of Mr Howson's calibre to lead the Queensland leasing team.
"David will work closely with John McDonald and the broader team to significantly grow our market share and diversify our client base,” he said.
Mr Howson will officially start in mid-October, initially based in the Savills Sydney office with a focus on strategic development, before relocating to Brisbane in early 2020.
Savills Queensland Managing Director Anthony Ott said the company was confident Mr Howson would make a smooth transition into his new role and "lead the office leasing division with diligence and enthusiasm".
