AP Eagers is the latest major automotive group to lease a number of sites within the BNE Auto Mall project, agreeing to take up a total area of 61,400 square metres.

When complete, the proposed land development and civil works will deliver a clear, surcharged and serviced site of 38 hectares of leasable land to be divided into 27 lots, fully serviced and landscaped roads providing access and connections to Airport Drive and Nancy Bird Way and a 2.3 km certified professional performance track.
According to the Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC), earthworks are now underway and civil work for the roads and track will commence early next year while AP Eagers are expected to commence construction of their 6.4-hectare development in early 2021.
The first stage of the BNE Auto Mall including the performance track is expected to be operational in late 2021 while further stages which include an office and entertainment precinct will be progressively delivered from 2022.
Negotiations are currently underway with shortlisted track operators.
BAC’s General Manager of Commercial Businesses John Tormey said the vision for the BNE Auto Mall was to provide an unrivalled automotive platform for dealers and manufacturers alongside the ultimate in test drive experience.
“The multi-layered appeal of the precinct with entertainment and shopping, restaurants and bars, driver experiences, hotels and conference facilities, all tailored to the automotive market and wrapped around a 2.5km Mark Skaife designed performance track will ensure the BNE Auto Mall delivers world-class facilities that are being demanded by tomorrow’s customers,” Tormey said.
“We are delighted to have AP Eagers join us for the first of three stages of this iconic project.
“The group will bring an incredible range of brands and experiences to the precinct as one of the country’s largest and most successful dealers.”
AP Eagers represents 12 major car brands within the geographic area serviced by the BNE Auto Mall, with the opportunity for a number of other brands to join the group.
AP Eagers’ Chief Executive Officer Martin Ward said the BNE Auto Mall offers an exciting opportunity to provide a truly unique customer experience.
“AP Eagers is proud to establish a major new home on 61,400 square metres within the BNE Auto Mall,” he said.
“It is extremely exciting to have a blank canvas only 8kms from the centre of Brisbane’s CBD to create a world-class automotive retailing experience for our customers of the future.”
