Melbourne commercial property agency Fitzroys has announced the appointment of Michael Ridler to its Asset Management Department.
Fitzroys Commercial Property's Asset Management Department has entered a new era with the appointment of Michael Ridler as Director.
In a major coup for Fitzroys, Mr Ridler takes the reigns from Peter Weatherby, who is stepping back from his position after more than three decades.
Having been a senior figure in the Melbourne commercial property market for the last 20 years, Mr Ridler told WILLIAMS MEDIA he was "highly excited" to work with other directors to drive the business forward.
At a glance:
"We want to ensure that we remain competitive in all aspects of attracting and retaining top talent - we are a people business and exceptional talent is needed to provide exceptional service to our clients," he said.
"Fitzroys is known for its strong retail expertise which is unrivalled in Melbourne.
We also have a large and high-quality office portfolio under management, which lacks the prominent profile of our retail and this provides a great platform for growth.
"With great talent and increasing access to industry-leading cloud-based technology, Fitzroys can provide many clients with a service that is just as innovative but more exclusive, tailored and personal than many of the larger global groups can offer.”
Fitzroys Director David Bourke said Mr Ridler was in the enviable position of being highly regarded by both owners and peers in the industry.
“Michael is one of the most experienced and respected commercial Asset Management specialists in Victoria and has won the confidence and respect of many of Australia's major property owners," he said.
“We are very excited that Michael is joining us at this time and the talent and skillset that he brings to Fitzroys will complement our Asset Management team and will provide an exciting springboard for growth."
