A list of the commercial finalists has been released for this year's REINSW Awards for Excellence.
The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) has announced the finalists for its annual Awards for Excellence.
Now into its third decade, the Awards for Excellence is the most prestigious and respected industry awards in NSW and recognises the best, bravest and brightest work across the industry.
REINSW President, Leanne Pilkington, said this year the Awards for Excellence is bigger than ever despite the COVID-19 pandemic which brought the industry’s usual working practices to a virtual standstill.
“We have been astonished by the number of entrants into the Awards for Excellence this year," said Ms Pilkington.
"We received the highest number of entries ever which is even more gratifying as entrants were also simultaneously dealing with the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Awards for Excellence is an opportunity to highlight our industry’s greatest successes and most outstanding achievements.
"It offers much-deserved recognition for the agents who work tirelessly in their profession and for their communities.”
This year we have 4 specific commercial categories.
John Micallef of CBRE has been nominated for best commercial salesperson category and told WILLIAMS MEDIA he appreciates the recognition received from the REINSW and the wider industry.
"I certainly don’t think I do anything radically different to other agents," said Mr Micallef.
"I just strive to work harder than my competitors to achieve the best possible results for my clients.
"I also have an amazing team around me at CBRE, without which I wouldn’t be able to achieve what I have."

Savills has been nominated in a number of categories.
“It is an honour to be nominated for not one but three awards; a true testament to the hard work and dedication of Andy Hu and Jordan Lee, as well as the greater NSW business," said Michael Fenton, Savills NSW Managing Director to WILLIAMS MEDIA.
“We are thrilled to be nominated for some of the largest and most respected industry awards in NSW," said Jordan Lee and Andy Hu, Joint State Heads, Savills Asia Markets, NSW jointly to WILLIAMS MEDIA.
"We joined Savills because of the global presence of the firm and hope to become the bridge between Australian and Asian investors.
“Savills’ prominence throughout Asia is second to none, with our major strength being that we have local teams who have long-standing relationships with investors giving us unrivalled access to private capital."
