JLL’s Dan Kernaghan negotiated the deal for Grosvenor Place which will see Ord Minnett occupying levels 18 and 19 which boasts two outdoor terraces and sweeping harbour views.
Australian financial advisory powerhouse Ord Minnett is set to be welcomed back to Grosvenor Place, inking a new lease this week for over 3,500 square metres of premium office space, 16 years after the firm’s departure from the Harry Seidler icon.
“We are delighted to be moving back to Grosvenor Place, on many levels it is one of the best buildings in Sydney. It perfectly suits Ord Minnett Ltd’s growth plans,” said Karl Morris AO, CEO and Managing Director of Ord Minnett Ltd.
JLL’s Dan Kernaghan negotiated the deal for Grosvenor Place which will see Ord Minnett occupying levels 18 and 19 which boasts two outdoor terraces and sweeping harbour views. The move will be just one block away from their existing offices at 255 George Street, with Kernaghan saying the connectivity between floors available at Grosvenor Place proved highly attractive for contemporary office design.
Substantial and ongoing upgrades in the award-winning tower at the building’s ground level communal amenities, its focus on sustainability and a flourishing dining and bar offering on site are also key attractions according to Kernaghan, who cited a long-term stable and active management team as another asset at Grosvenor Place.
“The complex offers five-star quality and service while creating an engaging, friendly and responsive community. It has proven to be a winning formula when you want to entice your team back to the CBD,” he said.
The Ord Minnett signing is the latest in a flurry of deals at the tower spanning over 5,500 square metres. Demand has been from smaller high-end tenants such as Aus Merchants, Ethical Partners Funds Management and Omnisure, as well as the renewals and expansion of existing occupants.
Grosvenor Place Executive Director, John Derrick said: “Positive leasing activity is helping to create high-end, smaller tenancy opportunities for agile businesses wanting to relocate to premium CBD office spaces.”
