The JLL internship program has proven strong success, with the firm continuing to place a strong emphasis in flourishing long-term careers.
Edward Mount and Alicia Marano have been successfully appointed to undergo the JLL internship programme at JLL in Adelaide for 2022.
Edward and Alicia are both completing degrees in Bachelor of Business (Property) at the University of South Australia. Both will work across Capital Markets, Office Leasing, Industrial, Valuations, Property & Asset Management and Project Management.
JLL’s Managing Director, (South Australia) Ben Parkinson said, “JLL is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse workforce. Our internship program is an opportunity to nurture our company’s future leaders. The 18-month rotational program offers a taste of the varied aspects of our business.”
JLL’s Senior Director of Tenant Representation, (South Australia) Jessica Van Raay joined JLL in 2008 and underwent the internship program in the JLL office in Melbourne noting the program helped to launch her career.
“Initially, I was attracted to the program as JLL offered a broad range of property services and the prospect of being able to work interstate or overseas, then I met the people and loved the culture of the place,” Ms Van Raay said.
“My graduate experience gave me exposure to Office Leasing, Capital Markets and Tenant Representation, I also had mentors along the way which shared their insights to other business lines within JLL such as Valuations, Property Management and our Accounts teams. Ultimately, it was my time in Tenant Representation that I enjoyed the most – it provided a great mix of consultancy and deal doing which was a good fit for me,” she said.
“The program literally launched my career in property – to start with I was introduced to the Melbourne office market and was in an Analyst role and within a short time I was representing our clients on a national basis,” Ms Van Raay said.
More recently, JLL’s Analyst of Capital Markets (South Australia) Luke Duncan completed the internship program in 2019 saying that the global reach and scale of JLL gave him the opportunity to experience a diverse range of pathways early in his career.
“One of the positives that the program offered me was the opportunity to talk and get career advice from a diverse range of experts, along with learning from conversations that happen around you,” Mr Duncan said.
JLL’s internship program for 2022 commenced on 4th July 2022 and will run through to December 2023.
