CBRE will further bolster its office leasing business in Australia’s biggest market, with the recruitment of Chris Hanley to its Sydney CBD team.
Mr Hanley joins CBRE next month, after a decade with another international agency and armed with more than 15 years of experience in the office sector.
Renowned for his work in the office occupier space, Mr Hanley will apply his expertise in a slightly different domain, as Director – CBD Leasing, working alongside Tim Courtnall, State Director – Office Leasing.
Mr Hanley becomes the fourth addition to CBRE’s Sydney CBD office leasing operation in 2021, following the appointments of Mr Courtnall, Gemma Nicholas and Ellie Anstee.
Having most-recently led Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group in NSW, Mr Hanley earlier spent six years working on the firm’s National Australia Bank account.
His career started with The GPT Group in 2005 and also includes time with JLL and London-based commercial consultancy Ask-re the Property People.
“Chris’s recruitment is a strategic addition to our Sydney CBD office leasing platform, which will differentiate us from our competitors,” Mark Curtain, CBRE Head of Office Leasing – Pacific, said.
“Having advised some of the largest office users in the country, his insight into occupier workplace strategy will be invaluable to our Investor leasing clients.”
