JLL announced the appointment of Luke Billiauas Head of Capital Markets, Australia & New Zealand. Luke will assume responsibility for JLL’s market-leading Capital Markets platform in Australia, with oversight for its investment and transaction advisory offering to clients.
JLL (NYSE: JLL) today announced the appointment of Luke Billiau as Head of Capital Markets, Australia & New Zealand. Luke will assume responsibility for JLL’s market-leading Capital Markets platform in Australia, with oversight for its investment and transaction advisory offering to clients.
Luke will lead a national team of over 140 professionals across Australia across all major asset classes including office, retail, logistics, living and alternatives. In 2022, Australia’s commercial real estate market comprised of US$20.9 billion of transactions, according to the JLL Capital Tracker.

To his expanded role, Luke brings more than 15 years’ experience in the Australian property industry. Most recently, he was concurrently Head of Capital Markets – New South Wales (NSW) and Head of Office Investments - Australia.
Luke joined JLL in 2007 in Brisbane and relocated to Sydney in late 2019 to assume the role of Head of Capital Markets - NSW. Throughout his career, he has specialised in the transaction of commercial office assets nationally. Primarily, Luke’s focus is institutional grade investment assets and significant development opportunities (including structured transactions and forward funding deals).
Prior to leading the national Office Investments team and NSW Capital Markets business, Luke was a Senior Director of the Queensland Capital Markets team and had a senior role leading the state’s Valuations and Advisory division of JLL. Luke is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and was a Certified Practising Valuer.
