JLL's partnership with PSGH catalyses Indigenous empowerment and autonomous growth in the Facility Management industry says JLL Head of Work Dynamics, Nathan Taylor.
Global property services firm JLL, together with PSGH announce a significant milestone in its partnership with Evolve FM, an Indigenous Australian facility management (FM) company.
Since their joint venture in 2015 with PSGH (Pacific Services Group Holdings), JLL has worked alongside Evolve FM to foster growth and provide employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians.
The shared vision of JLL and PSGH has always been to see Evolve FM become an independent business, standing on its own without reliance on JLL. To accelerate this journey, JLL, PSGH, and the Evolve FM board have made the strategic decision to facilitate the sale of JLL's 49% shareholding.
This sale will establish Evolve FM as the first 100% Indigenous-owned facility management company in Australia. By divesting its shares, JLL is proud to have supported the realisation of this shared vision.
The divestment grants Evolve FM the freedom to explore new markets and attract top Indigenous Australian talent. Furthermore, as a fully owned Indigenous business, Evolve FM is positioned to excel in delivering its industry-leading services.
JLL Head of Work Dynamics, Nathan Taylor said, "Supporting Evolve FM on its journey to become the first 100% Indigenous-owned facility management company is a testament to our commitment to fostering diversity and empowering communities. We congratulate Evolve FM on this achievement and look forward to their continued success.”
PSGH CEO, Troy Rugless acknowledges the contribution of JLL in the growth and evolution of Evolve FM. He said, “With JLL’s assistance Evolve FM has become the first 100% Indigenous FM provider that most importantly provides outstanding FM services whilst achieving extraordinary milestones in Indigenous engagement and employment..
“We now have a platform to become one of the best FM providers in Australia. Both JLL and PSGH can be very proud of achieving what they set out to do, which was to grow Evolve FM and enhance the capacity and capability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses. Evolve FM will be the first Indigenous FM company able to compete on a level playing field with international organisations. We look forward to continuing the growth of Evolve FM,” said Mr Rugless.
Evolve FM has quickly emerged as a key player in the Australian FM landscape, delivering exceptional services and opportunities for Indigenous Australians. The collaboration between PSGH, JLL, and Evolve FM has been instrumental in this success.
Evolve FM was named ‘Facilities Management Team of the Year’ at the annual RICS awards in 2017.
With the divestment complete, Evolve FM is now poised for accelerated growth as a wholly Indigenous-owned company.
