Knight Frank’s Asset Management Services (AMS) team has been appointed to manage Rialto, an iconic commercial precinct in Melbourne’s CBD.
The property, located in the heart of mid-town on Collins Street, consists of two connected towers.
The North tower extends 37 levels and the South tower provides 55 levels, which combined offer more than 90,000 square metres of office space and over 2,000 square metres of retail space, with the retail and dining offerings in the ground floor piazza, and fine dining on Level 55.
The precinct also has five levels of basement car parking providing more than 500 car parks, and tenant amenities including an onsite fitness facility, end-of-trip facilities and a concierge offering services including dry cleaning and alterations and professional car detailing. Major tenants in the building include White & Case, K&L Gates, Thomson Geer Lawyers, BlueRock, and the Bank of Melbourne. Rialto also has premium co-working facilities called Spaces Rialto.
Rialto, which is co-owned by Grollo Group and Dexus, has been an iconic silhouette on Melbourne’s skyline since it opened in 1986. Grollo originally developed the iconic precinct and guided it through a substantial regeneration in 2017.
The co-owners have since collaborated to masterplan a second regeneration project set to commence shortly. At the time of development Rialto was Australia’s tallest building, at 253 metres, and it continues to have a reputation for exceptional views and premium services.
Knight Frank’s management team for Rialto includes Penny Katsanis as General Manager, Mitchell Romagnoli as Senior Engineering Manager and Elaine Hong as Commercial Manager.
Knight Frank’s Managing Director of Asset Management Services Lisa Atkins said: “This is an exciting appointment for Knight Frank. “We’ve assembled an A-team for Rialto, with exceptional professionals in property and facilities management, capital works management, and marketing and community management. “Knight Frank was selected to manage the complex due to our innovative solutions, our deep understanding of Rialto and its tenant community, and the quality of our people.”
Knight Frank’s Head of AMS Victoria Ben Veale said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be appointed to deliver our services at Rialto. “Our team will work closely with the co-owners to help deliver the second regeneration project, starting with the construction of new state-of-the-art fitness and wellbeing facilities and refurbished end-of-trip facilities.
“Knight Frank’s appointment to Rialto confirms our reputation as a market leader for managing premium office precincts.
“We never take appointments like these for granted. They create such great opportunities for our people to make a significant impact on Melbourne’s CBD.”
