The CBRE Victorian Retail Leasing Team have concluded the second stage of leasing deals at Melbourne Connect, located at 700 Swanston Street, Carlton. The University of Melbourne, in partnership with a consortium led by Lendlease, has created a connected innovation ecosystem which is envisaged to connect people, place and possibilities.

Melbourne Connect will bring together world-class researchers, government,  industry, SME’s, start-ups, higher-degree students, artists, and Science Gallery Melbourne, in a purpose-built innovation precinct right in the heart of Carlton and next to the Parkville and Biomedical Precincts..

CBRE are excited to announce the second round of retail operators who will open later this year at Melbourne Connect. “Our team are pleased to announce that both Schnitz and Shuji Sushi have signed leases and are excited to be part of the retail mix”, CBRE’s Jason Orenbuch commented.

“Both groups will add and further complement the food mix which our team have carefully put together. Our aim was to ensure that all occupiers at Melbourne Connect and also for the wider University precinct and local community, to have diverse choices with regard to food selection within the new innovation hub”, Mr Orenbuch further stated.

“The Retail portion of the Melbourne Connect project is now 70% leased, our team are in the midst of finalising the final three deals, which will be announced in the coming month.” Mr Orenbuch concluded.
