Village Early Education, a regional childcare provider, is expanding into Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs after securing the lease for a new 117-place centre under development.

CBRE’s Australian Healthcare & Social Infrastructure team of Sandro Peluso, Marcello Caspani-Muto, and Jimmy Tat negotiated the lease for the property at 7 Glenfern Road, Ferntree Gully.

Village Early Education, which operates five centres in regional Victoria, outbid two other providers to secure the new location.

Centre Director Emily Zhang said the new site will enable the service to accommodate their existing waitlist and meet growing demand.

We provide exceptional care that families trust and value and we’ve built an efficient, skilled, and dedicated team to meet the strong demand for quality services,” Ms Zhang added.

Ms Zang said after seeing an increase in demand and opportunities for growth in the childcare sector, there were plans to open 12 new metropolitan Village Early Education centres in the next 24 months. 

Commenting on the strategic expansion into metropolitan areas Mr Tat noted, “Operators are increasingly targeting metro suburbs with significant growth potential as part of their long-term strategies. Ferntree Gully is an excellent example, with a strong childcare demand ratio of 6:2 and an increasing population projected to reach 185,148 over the next 20 years in the City of Knox. This reflects a broader trend in Melbourne’s outer suburbs, where young families are seeking accessible and reliable childcare services.”
