Marine and subsea services company, MMA Offshore, has secured a new tenancy for the company’s head office in one of Perth’s most sought-after office towers, EQ12 The Esplanade, directly opposite Elizabeth Quay. CBRE Luke Bray, who negotiated the deal on behalf of Cape Bouvard.
The 1,400sqm tenancy spans across levels nine and ten of EQ12 The Esplanade and includes brand-new building upgrades and a high-quality fitout by landlord Cape Bouvard.
MMA signed a five-year lease over the executive tenancy, which boasts excellent views of Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River.
CBRE’s Luke Bray, who negotiated the deal on behalf of Cape Bouvard, said the building’s prime location opposite Elizabeth Quay underpinned MMA Offshore’s decision to relocate.
“The lease also further highlights the demand for quality fitted office accommodation in prime Perth CBD locations, with the newly positioned product generating significant levels of interest from the market, leading to multiple negotiations and the new lease to MMA,” Mr Bray explained.
Cape Bouvard Manager Tristan Cribb said the newly fitted tenancy was on the market for less than six weeks.
“This is an exceptional outcome that underlines the success of our building’s speculative fitout strategy,” Mr Cribb said.
Originally built as the headquarters for Alinta Energy, EQ12 The Esplanade has undergone a major transformation over the past year, including new entry statements and lobbies, lift upgrades, floor refurbishments, bathrooms and end-of-trip facilities.
MMA Offshore Managing Director, Mr David Ross, said: “As MMA Offshore continues to grow and diversify into new markets, moving our head office to Perth City is an exciting development for the company and will provide closer access to our clients, stakeholders, and a range of central amenities for our staff. The building’s prime location overlooking Elizabeth Quay and quality fitout were key to our decision.”
Mr Bray added: “The Elizabeth Quay precinct, located directly in front of the building, has added another level of amenity to the area, with new hotels, bars and restaurants. This will only be further enhanced as new developments are completed, including Chevron’s new headquarters.”
