Knight Frank Australia has appointed a new Head of Industrial, with Robert Salerno taking over from Tim Armstrong.
An internal promotion has led to an external appointment at Knight Frank Australia, with Robert Salerno taking over as Head of Industrial from February 25.
Previous head Tim Armstrong's new role as Head of Occupier Business Development at Knight Frank Asia Pacific means Mr Salerno joins the firm after more than 16 years at Goodman Properties.
Knight Frank Australia Partner and CEO Stephen Ellis said it was an exciting time for the firm.
“Rob has strong leadership skills, having led a team of diverse individuals across Europe, as well as a good understanding of the industrial business and marketplace – particularly around strategic relationships with key global customers," he said.
"As a firm, Knight Frank is proud to foster exceptional talent and to promote from within.
"Tim Armstrong has been with the firm in multiple roles and locations for more than 12 years and we are excited to see what he will achieve in his new regional role.”

Mr Salerno's previous role as Goodman Group General manager was preceded by a stint in Brussels, where he oversaw the company's Europe Asset and Property Management portfolio.
He told WILLIAMS MEDIA he was looking forward to pursuing the domestic and international opportunities offered by role.
“It’s an exciting opportunity and I look forward to being a part of Knight Frank and growing the existing national platform, as well as being part of a growing global team,” he said.
Mr Ellis said Knight Frank Australia had evolved with a new vision based on partnership, integrity and prosperity.
“We have always held a distinctive position in the market as the only global, privately-owned real estate provider," he said.
"We are continuing to build on this with the leadership united in mutual accomplishment and entrepreneurial focus, and key appointments such as this.”
