Melbourne agency Allard Shelton was recognised for two of its campaigns at the REIV Commercial and Industrial Awards held recently.
Allard Shelton celebrated a double win at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria Commercial and Industrial Awards held earlier this month, taking out Best Campaign for a Medium Agency for its work with the Godfreys portfolio and Best Industrial Campaign under $10,000 for its sale of 39 Albemarle Stree, Williamstown.
The Godfreys campaign reached a successful conclusion in September last year when four prime shops fetched $22.18 million amid hectic bidding at Melbourne’s Crown casino.
All the shops were on land-rich sites with future development potential. They were leased to Godfreys on five-year terms, returning total income of more than $1.25 million a year.
Speaking about his agency's role in the sales, Allard Shelton Director Joseph Walton said the result represented an "extraordinary effort" given the state of the market at the time.
"We were able to frame a really strong campaign message around Godfreys being the lease covenant and the land-rich nature of each site offered," he said.
"It was received well by the market as we expected it would be.
"Ultimately, we thought we ran a pretty compelling campaign, but feel enormously grateful to be recognised as a market leader by our industry body."

The agency also received recognition for its role in selling two industrial warehouses at 39 Albemarle Street in Williamstown.
Allard Shelton's campaign resulted in the sale of the property on March 26, 2019 - more than three weeks prior to its scheduled auction.
Mr Walton said while it had been a "fairly conservative" campaign from a marketing spend perspective, this did not impact the sale price.
"It was a property that a competitor of ours had in the market for six months, prior to Allard Shelton being appointed," he said.
"The owner adopted our strategy and got his full asking price."
He added the awards were a useful tool for establishing market confidence in the Allard Shelton brand and its ability to deliver "quality marketing campaigns and sales strategies beyond anyone else in the marketplace".
