The RWC 2023 annual awards went off with a bang last night with more than 200 people gathered on the Gold Coast to celebrate the top offices and individuals from across the Australasian network.
RWC head of agency operations Andrew Freeman said he was proud of every member and their achievements throughout the last 12 months.
“Tonight, we gather not only to honour the accomplishments of our top performers but also to celebrate the collective success of our entire commercial family,” Mr Freeman said.
“Thank you to all of our administrators, property managers, support staff, valuers, agents and leaders. Your unwavering commitment and enthusiasm for our business are at the centre of our success.
“Your passion for client satisfaction and to be the best has set new benchmarks within the industry, and we are immensely proud of each one of you.
“The last financial year was undoubtedly a challenging year for our industry with climbing interest rates and rising inflation, no one in this room was immune to these challenges.
“Within these challenging markets lie the greatest opportunity for growth. There’s an old adage ‘bad habits are formed in the best times’ and inversely ‘good people are created in the most challenging of times’.
“Now, in this market, it is more important than ever that we embrace change, structure and process. The standards we accept and the things we focus on, will be instrumental in our success ahead. With this in mind, our future is brighter than ever before.
“Six weeks ago, we delivered a transformative brand refresh. This transformation is not just a change of logo or colours; it signifies our continued dedication to delivering exceptional service, fostering strong relationships, and driving successful outcomes for our clients.”
Ray White Group managing director Dan White congratulated the commercial network on such a fantastic year.
“RWC has had another successful year, which was a combination of so much effort from so many people,” Mr White said.
“We, the White family, remain resolute in our commitment to all of you here as you chase your potential.
“We know our best days are still ahead of us.”
Ray White hotel and leisure experts HTL Property took out the award for top overall office for settled commission, while HTL Property director Dan Dragicevich took out the award for top sales and leasing agent.
“It is both an honour and a privilege to be recognized at the top of such an historic company, and amongst peers who are so determined to be better and more trusted professionals each and every day,” Mr Dragicevich said.
“It’s undoubtedly the quality of my cohort that drives this outcome, and the next 12 months serves as another opportunity to achieve more.”
The most coveted award for the Ray White network, the Director’s Cup, is a prize awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to Ray White.
This year’s Director’s Cup went to Ray White Valuations director Robert Wilson, who was recognised for his huge efforts in growing Ray White’s valuations team nationally, and for supporting the corporate team in their recruitment efforts.
Mr Wilson said the award came as a huge shock, but he felt honoured to be recognised.
“We’ve had a tough few years but the support of the White family as well as the RWC corporate team has been amazing,” Mr Wilson said.
“We want to continue to expand the Ray White Valuations team and grow our east coast presence, which is what I have aimed to do from the very start.”
The Transaction of the Year award went to RWC Capital Transaction director Ian Hetherington for the $250 million off-market sale of two industrial parks, on behalf of GPT Group.
