Ray White Commercial GC South has assisted in the plans for the MOB Academy on the Gold Coast.
Plans for a new Gold Coast independent assistant school for boys aged 15-17 have been unveiled with the assistance of Ray White.
An initiative of Men of Business, MOB Academy is designed to help those who have become disengaged with mainstream education.
Subject to approval from the Non-State School Accreditation Board, the school is scheduled to open in February 2020 at 5 Nerang Street in Southport.

MOB founder Marco Renai said the aim of the academy was to provide disengaged youth with a range of life skills.
“Our goal is to teach them basics such as cooking and the importance of nutrition and exercise,” he said.
“Many troubled young men have no male role model in their lives, and MOB Academy aims to be that for them.”
Formerly occupied by Westpac Bank, the 1,794sq m* space will be repurposed to house the proposed school, gym and kitchen.
The five-year, whole building lease deal was negotiated by Brad Duncalfe and Sam Riley of Ray White Commercial GC South.
The two-storey premises owned by Garuda GC Corporation will undergo a significant upgrade, thanks to fundraising initiatives by MOB.
In addition to a gym and kitchen, the building will receive air-conditioning throughout and also boasts a 20-bay car park.
Mr Duncalfe said the initiative was a prime example of an older building being put to good use in the area.
“Plans for educational establishments are well supported within the Southport Priority Development Area (PDA) and it was a pleasure to assist with such a worthy cause.”
Funds raised at the MOB Charity Luncheon will go towards the development of the MOB Academy.
