CBRE has appointed property professional Mark Curtain to head the firm’s Pacific Office Leasing business.
CBRE has opened the curtain on a new era for its Pacific Office Leasing business after appointing a leader from within its own ranks.
Regional Director Mark Curtain has been promoted to head the business, having spent the last five years at the company, during which he has been involved in some of Brisbane's largest office projects.
With more than 25 years of industry experience under his belt, Mr Curtain told WILLIAMS MEDIA he was looking forward to leveraging CBRE's national and international network as part of his new role.
"Only recently I was working with our team in Barcelona on our local experiences working with CLT (timber) buildings in Australia," he said.
"They shared this information with their client and are now working on marketing a new timber office development.
"There is great satisfaction in being about to connect people with information and share best practice.
"I am also really looking forward to working with the senior leaders of our Office Leasing business to focus on digitalisation, innovation, collaboration and our operating platform."
Mr Curtain’s appointment follows CBRE’s recruitment in Melbourne of Stuart Colquhoun, Ashley Buller and Harrison Truelove from JLL’s Office Leasing business, as well as the return of Campbell Tait and Andrew Carlton to CBRE’s Brisbane Office Leasing team.
Matt Haddon, CBRE’s Senior Managing Director for Advisory & Transaction Services in the Pacific, said it was "particularly pleasing" to be able to fill the role internally.
“It highlights the depth of talent within our business and our ability to provide career and leadership pathways for our people," he said.
“Mark will remain based in Brisbane and will continue to service our Queensland clients as a market-facing resource.
"He is actively involved in a number of major projects and will continue working collaboratively with Chris Butters to ensure the continued success of the Queensland Office Leasing business.
"In tandem, he will broaden his remit and travel throughout the region with a view to enhancing collaboration, best practice and the team’s focus on client connectivity.”
