A new commercial real estate agency is promising to take a more customer-centric approach to the Canberra market.
A new Canberra commercial agency has vowed to oversee the city's market with a fresh approach that prioritises the needs of clients.
Formed in 2020, Sentia Real Estate has more than 60 years of experience at its helm through directors Alex Smith, Simon McGuire and Chris Antos, all three of whom have formed a close bond during their time in the industry.
Mr Antos said the team's vision was to set a new standard in real estate through industry leadership and innovative processes.
"We are changing the way people think when they hear the words 'commercial real estate' while focusing on a quality experience for agents and customers," he said.
At a glance:
"Sentia is a dedicated, authentic, innovative and professional company, building our reputation on exceeding expectations in every aspect of the real estate process."
Canberra's commercial market has already made headlines this year, with research from JLL forecasting the national capital will buck the national average of office rents falling by 7 per cent over 2020 with net effective rents of 1.1 per cent over the year.
Mr McGuire said the agency had been able to hit the ground running since opening its office this month.
"It may sound unusual but we’ve actually seen more enquiry in the last month than we did the month before Covid-19 hit," he said
"Our community are making decisions and getting on with business, something that benefits every Canberran.

"We are fortunate to operate in a very stable market, bolstered by the public sector which makes us more resilient to external shocks."
Mr Antos said while Sentia's foundation was spread across different types of commercial asset classes, the agency's growth hinged on building its strengths.
"We have strong ties to project marketing and developer advisement and we intend to grow into these spaces in the coming years," he said.
“We have found, despite the immense increase in mixed-use developments, there are very few agencies that offer developer clients the ability to list both the residential and commercial components of their property in one place and do it well.”
"Our vision is to change that."
