On Friday 1st April, CBRE’s Australian Healthcare and Social Infrastructure team was proud to be involved in the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) Summit as an exclusive commercial real estate partner and sponsor.
With the theme of "Planning to thrive!", this one-day, face-to-face Summit was designed to support and inspire Approved Providers (childcare owners/operators) and senior managers of early learning services.
As national market leaders in the sale and leasing of childcare facilities, CBRE has an exclusive arrangement with the ACA. CBRE’s Australian Healthcare and Social Infrastructure team of Sandro Peluso, Jimmy Tat and Marcello Caspani-Muto, are specialists in this sector and market for sale or lease existing childcare facilities as well as soon-to-be-completed childcare centres, including sale and leaseback arrangements.
Sandro Peluso, says, “Our exhibition hub at the event provided our clients’ with the benefit of showcasing their prospective childcare centres to leading industry operators who may be looking to lease or purchase. Additionally, three of our VIP clients were provided with the opportunity to have marketing materials for their childcare facilities included within our exhibition packs.”
Jimmy Tat explains, “The Australian Childcare Alliance is the country’s leading governing body for childcare services with approximately 70% of Australia’s childcare operators being members. This summit was specifically focused around leading operators within childcare and as an indication as to the importance and success of this event to the industry, it was a sell-out with all ticket sales exhausted.”
Marcello Caspani-Muto says, “It was a wonderful, uplifting and engaging event and terrific to meet so many people passionate about the childcare sector. The ACA plays an incredibly important role to the sector, educating and the giving of expert advice and services to assist operators in providing quality early learning services to the children in their care and helping them navigate the challenges of working within this highly regulated and competitive sector.”
The Summit was held at the Crown Conference Centre in Southbank, Melbourne and included a wide range of quality exhibitors as well as a program featuring first-class speakers who provided valuable and meaningful information as well as a much-needed dose of inspiration. Master of Ceremonies Marianne Van Dorslar introduced speakers such as Disability Advocate and Paralympian Kurt Fearnley and Lisa McInnes-Smith, global keynote speaker, author and transformational coach, along with government and industry leaders.
The Australian Childcare Alliance is a national not-for-profit, member-funded organisation supporting and advocating for privately owned Long Day Care Centres and for the future of Australia’s children. They work on behalf of early learning service providers to ensure families and their children have an opportunity to access affordable, high quality early learning services throughout Australia and provide a valuable and supportive network.
