The proposed site of Harris Farm’s next Sydney supermarket for sale by the family-owned chain backed by a long-term lease commitment through Toby Silk and Nicholas Heaton of CBRE and Philip Gartland and Alexander James-Elliott of Stonebridge Property Group.
The proposed site of Harris Farm’s next Sydney supermarket is being offered for sale by the family-owned chain backed by a long-term lease commitment.
The Turramurra site – currently home to the Honeysuckle Garden nursery and a service station – was acquired by the Harris family in 2017 in a joint venture with Winston Langley.
Having received development approval for a unique retail concept called The Farm, the partners have listed the site for sale by Expressions of Interest closing June 7, 2023.
The campaign is being steered by Toby Silk and Nicholas Heaton of CBRE, with Philip Gartland and Alexander James-Elliott of Stonebridge Property Group. It is expected to generate significant interest, given the DA approval and anchor lease commitment from Harris Farm, which paves the way for a landmark neighbourhood centre retail development to service the local community.
The approval allows for a new Harris Farm Markets store, together with fresh fish, chicken, florist, café and nursery uses. It also includes the creation of a nursery, native garden and vertical hydroponic garden.
"Once built, The Farm will provide an incredible retail experience to an affluent area that is currently underserviced. We expect to receive strong interest from a range of buyers who will be able to increase the return by putting their unique spin on the ancillary retail,” Mr Silk said.
Mr Gartland added, "The Farm provides a compelling investment proposition to family offices looking to secure generational wealth with the opportunity to add value through good management and potential planning upside.”
