These involve Bruce Baker taking on a new role as Executive Managing Director Queensland and Capital Markets, Chris Butters assuming the role as Senior Managing Director Queensland alongside his Brisbane Managing Director responsibilities, and Coen Riddle taking over as Queensland State Director of CBRE’s Office Leasing – Investor business.
CBRE has announced three strategic promotions in Queensland to help drive future business growth and harness the skills and deep experience of its senior executive team.
CBRE’s Pacific Advisory CEO Phil Rowland said the promotions highlighted the depth of talent within CBRE’s Queensland business and positioned the firm for continued growth and success in this geography.
“Bruce has played an instrumental role in our business over his 15 years at CBRE, steering one of our highest performing geographies and our highly successful Queensland Capital Markets - Office team,” Mr Rowland said.
“His new role will give him the capacity to extend his business impact and further leverage his market influence, with a focus on strategic recruitment, senior customer relationship management and talent mentoring.
“This will include early-stage engagement with new talent aligned to our business strategy, engagement with strategic customers, guiding our next generation of leaders and succession planning in key areas of our business as well as further enhancing our Capital Markets positioning.”
In turn, Chris Butters will be stepping into the Senior Managing Director role and assuming the day-to-day Queensland leadership responsibilities after 12 years at CBRE. For the past five years he has successfully led CBRE’s Brisbane office in addition to overseeing the Queensland Office Leasing - Investor business.
“Chris is highly respected - both internally and by our clients - and is the stand-out successor for Bruce given his demonstrated leadership skills,” Mr Rowland said.
“Given Chris’ additional responsibilities, Coen will be assuming the Queensland Office Leasing - Investor leadership, drawing on his considerable client relationships and sector expertise.”
In his new role, Mr Butters will also continue to work with key clients on major office leasing projects.
