JLL CEO - Australia and New Zealand, Dan Kernaghan said, “Kate brings to the role a wealth of knowledge and industry insight having spent 17 successful years at JLL before her most recent position as the Head of Customer and Marketing at Charter Hall.
“This experience, her deep understanding of our business and her commitment to JLL’s growth gives Kate a unique perspective on how we can continue to develop our teams and further enhance our services,” Mr Kernaghan said.
Kate joined JLL in 2004 and was promoted to Director, Corporate Solutions (2010-2017) before becoming a Senior Director, Tenant Representation (2017-2021). Kate’s industry experience includes tenant representation, advisory/consultancy services, sales and leasing, and Account/Transaction Management.
“Kate’s new Managing Director role will include supporting Markets Advisory, Capital Markets and our Work Dynamics businesses in a national leadership role, including taking on an additional responsibility as Co-Head of Tenant Representation for Victoria,” Mr Kernaghan said.
He said Kate had previously carved out a highly successful career at JLL representing tenants’ interests in property transactions including lease negotiation, site selection, market research, strategic portfolio reviews, and financial and location analysis.
“Her knowledge and experience of the Melbourne market is highly sought after, particularly within the technology and creative sectors,” Mr Kernaghan said.
Speaking on her appointment, Ms Pilgrim said, “I am truly honoured to return to JLL as the Managing Director for the Victorian business. I am most excited to have been given the opportunity to collaborate with our esteemed Melbourne leadership team, fostering our culture, and delivering tailored solutions to our valued investor and occupier clients.”
Kate has a Masters of Business - Property Valuation (RMIT), a Certificate 3&4 - Property Services (RMIT), is a member of the Property Council of Australia (PCA), CoreNet Global and is an Agents Representative (REIV).
In her previous roles at JLL, Kate was a representative on JLL’s National Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and was part of the working group that formulated JLL’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
