Comprising three separate land titles, the parcel adjoins Frasers existing 15ha Berrinba Logistics Park.
Frasers Property Australia has settled on a 6.678 hectare industrial land parcel comprising three separate land titles in the Queensland suburb of Berrinba, continuing the company’s expansion in the area.
Purchased from three private owners, the land acquisitions are located on the northern side of Berrinba, approximately 30 metres from Frasers Property’s existing Berrinba Logistics Park comprising approximately 15 hectares.
According to Troy Whalan, General Manager – Commercial & Industrial Queensland for Frasers Property Australia, Berrinba is located in one of Queensland’s most highly sought-after locations.
“We first purchased land in the Berrinba area 11 years ago and have already delivered over $125 million worth of institutional product in the area for several national and international companies. The Logan Motorway corridor is considered an important location for businesses that operate across Queensland and interstate borders.”
He added, “The Logan Motorway continues to expand and improve access points with new on and off ramps currently under construction to accommodate the expanding traffic volume. Australand Drive, a major thoroughfare within Berrinba north, will undergo construction within the next six months and expand through to Third Avenue.”
The estate will feature pre-lease development, land and building packages as well as selective land sales. It will accommodate up to 30,000 sqm of built form, enabling Frasers Property to service existing and new customers.
Senior Executive – Industrial and Business Services at Savills, Myles Clentsmith brokered the deal, saying the Berrinba precinct has attracted significant industrial development activity.
“Approximately 291,699 sqm of industrial space has been delivered for owner occupiers and tenants in this area over the past seven years. These figures represent some of the strongest in south east Queensland,” he said. ‘’Frasers Property’s land purchase at Berrinba will continue their successful track-record in the area on both a speculative and pre-lease basis. This land parcel purchase comes off the back of their recent transactions with CTI Logistics and Pinnacle Hardware in Berrinba.”
Companies already residing in Berrinba include CTI Logistics, Avery Dennison, DHL, PACCAR, National Tiles and Sigma Healthcare.
