Her appointment to this strategic position comes as Charter Hall consolidates its industry-leading position, creating future-ready, resilient and engaging workplaces for the post-pandemic commercial landscape.
Ms Hessing joins Charter Hall from global commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a Human Geographer & Workplace Strategy Manager for six years. In this role, Tica was responsible for creating innovative workplace strategy solutions for a range of corporate clients including global Fortune 500 companies, leading Australian organisations and various government departments. She also has significant experience in tenant advisory and wider strategic consulting services.
Ms Hessing is a sought after thought leader both nationally and internationally on issues around workplaces of the future, the future society, and emotional technology. She regularly contributes to industry forums, events and publications, and has appeared in major broadcast and print media on key workplace topics.

Tica will be a fantastic asset to the Charter Hall team and our tenant customers” said Ms Hourigan.
In her role as Charter Hall’s Workplace Strategy Manager, Ms Hessing will focus on identifying and forecasting global workplace trends, innovation around the future of work, furthering the co-creation process with Charter Hall’s partners and tenant customers, applying human-centred design and technology, and bolstering workplace health and wellness outcomes. Her role will also focus on enabling the creation of future-ready workplaces through the lens of the current and future domestic and global operating environments.
Ms Hessing said, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Cushman & Wakefield over the past six years, helping major occupiers transition to new ways of working, and I am looking forward to joining Charter Hall’s experienced Office sector team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage my own experience and insights around the future of work across Australia’s largest office portfolio.
“Most recently, in response to COVID-19, my work has focussed on supporting organisations with their Return to Office transition programs, including consulting on new ways of working and redefining future workplace needs. I’m particularly excited to bring this to Charter Hall’s tenant customers – helping to create exceptional workplaces for their organisations and people,” said Ms Hessing.
Ms Hessing commences at Charter Hall on 12 July, 2021.
