As Victorian commercial market records a record second quarter of 2021, JLL bolsters Victorian-based Capital Markets team with triple appointment. Nick Peden, Jesse Radisich and Mark Stafford join JLL Capital Markets team in Melbourne led by Senior Director Josh Rutman.
Following a marked increase in transactional activity in Melbourne’s commercial property market in 2021, global property services firm JLL has appointed three key hires within the Victorian-based Capital Markets team, led by Senior Director, Josh Rutman.
Nick Peden will join JLL in the role of Director. Mr Peden has more than 18-years of experience in the Melbourne commercial property market specialising in Melbourne CBD, city fringe and suburban commercial property with over $6 billion in sales throughout his career.
Jesse Radisich will also join JLL in the role of Director. Mr Radisich holds a strong track record of development site, commercial and retail property sales over the past 10 years with over $3billion transacted throughout this period.
Mark Stafford will join in the role of Senior Executive. Mr Stafford has played a key role in transactions within the aged care, childcare, retail investment and development site market throughout Victoria over the past seven years.
Collectively, the three recruits have acted on behalf of a wide range of clients including private investors and developers, high net worth individuals, major corporations, Government bodies and not-for-profit groups.
In a sign of increased investor confidence and activity in the Victorian market, in Q2 2021 JLL recorded a preliminary total office transactions figure of $985.9 million for Victoria, more than doubling the Q1 2021 figure of $412.5 million.
According to JLL Research, Q2 2021 has been the strongest quarter for Victorian commercial office sector transactions since the pandemic struck and since Q3 2019 ($1,043.4 million), which has necessitated the three key hires for the JLL sales division.
JLL’s Senior Director of Capital Markets- (VIC), Josh Rutman said, “The Victorian commercial property market has become increasingly buoyant as demonstrated by recent transaction volumes, however there is no doubting that clients require a steady pair of hands and an experienced approach, now more than ever before. We are therefore delighted to welcome Nick, Jesse and Mark to our Capital Markets team in Melbourne, each of whom have excellent professional reputations in the marketplace. With over 30-years of combined real estate experience, all three appointments provide us with access to a broad cross-section of client segments and asset types, and their knowledge will greatly assist our clients to add value to their portfolios and achieve outstanding sales outcomes.”
“JLL has established itself as a household name for both private and institutional clients here in Melbourne, and given the commercial property sector’s resilience since the COVID-19 restrictions of last year, it is a top priority of our leadership to provide a multi-disciplined and customer-centric agency offering. These three appointments will enable our team to cement our foothold in several key markets and provide additional value to other service offerings within the JLL stable,” Mr Rutman said.
JLL’s Managing Director (VIC) - Craig Shute said, “Growing our capital markets team is a clear indicator of the strength of this sector and these three appointments will consolidate and complement our market-leading sales business headed by Josh Rutman.”
“The triple appointment clearly shows the confidence we have in the Melbourne market as the city of Melbourne recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. We expect the middle markets and metropolitan investment sector to become a key growth sector as we look to the second half of 2021 and beyond,” Mr Shute concluded.
