Neil Murray will join the firm in the role, based in Knight Frank’s Sydney office.
Neil has more than 30 years' experience and demonstrated success in property after starting his career at Knight Frank as a cadet in 1990, in the firm’s Parramatta office.
He has worked across a diverse range of property services including asset management, leasing, operations, corporate real estate, funds management and development management for occupiers and investors in all market sectors.
Neil joins Knight Frank from Colliers, where he has been Head of Strategic Advisory, building and leading a profitable national team of experts to tailor strategic property solutions across all market sectors and property types.
He has also previously held senior roles at Westpac and Colonial First State.
Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said Neil was the right candidate to lead the firm’s Occupier Strategy and Solutions team in Australia.
“Neil is well-connected and highly regarded by institutions, occupiers and clients,” he said.
“His excellent reputation, broad network and extensive experience will strengthen our offering across all areas of the Occupier Strategy and Solutions space and the broader business.
“Occupier Strategy and Solutions is an area of growth and significant opportunity for Knight Frank Australia.
“It includes Strategic Advisory, Tenant Representation, Project Management and Building Consultancy, Workplace, Global Portfolio Services and Town Planning teams.”
Mr Murray said he was excited to join Knight Frank and return to the business where his career began.
“Over the years since I was last at Knight Frank I have amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise that I will bring to this new role,” he said.
“I look forward to leading the Occupier Strategy and Solutions team in Australia and strengthening Knight Frank’s offering in this area, as well as providing our clients with the very best service.”
