This move represents a strategic decision to further back the future of Brisbane’s high-growth market, offering our clients reliable advisory and transaction services.
“We are delighted to welcome Sam to the Capital Markets Office team to help establish and grow our presence within the Queensland market. The skills and experience Sam brings will be crucial to servicing the needs of our clients in this market, and we look forward to leveraging his local knowledge to provide considerable value,” Mr Woodward said.
Sam Arkell added “This is a great opportunity to work alongside Mitch in Queensland to further grow the capital market presence. Office Capital Markets is a dynamic asset class that is set for significant growth in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics, and I am excited to be part of the team”.
Capital Markets Associate Director Mitch Witherow added “We welcome Sam to the Queensland Office Capital Markets team, he will play a large part in taking advantage of the growth in this market with Olympic Games fever in full swing”
“The Games are expected to bring $8.1 billion in total benefits for Queensland alongside the creation of around 91,600 FTE jobs, whilst establishing Brisbane as a global city.
“In a year marked by economic challenges and limited office sales, Brisbane emerged in 2023 as the star performer, boasting robust rental growth and soaring take-up rates. Significant market players are gearing up for increased activity, ready to seize market opportunities and benefit from a strategic hold where Brisbane is set to perform for years ahead,” Mitch Witherow added.
