Knight Frank’s Canberra office has been recognised for its commitment to people, winning the ‘People First Award’ at the recent Property Council of Australia Gala ball.
It comes just over a year after Nathan Dunn, who has spent more than 13 years working in Canberra’s commercial property market, was appointed as Managing Director of the office.
Knight Frank Australia’s three foundation pillars of its commitment to corporate social responsibility are People, Planet and Community, with the firm’s people coming first.
Underpinning everything Knight Frank does is the desire to provide a safe, healthy and respectful workplace where people feel supported to be themselves and valued for their individuality and diversity.
Over the past year Knight Frank Canberra has seen a spike in its employee satisfaction levels in engagement surveys, with the results indicating employees are very happy and engaged.
Mr Dunn said the People First Award was testament to Knight Frank's commitment to putting its people at the heart of everything they do.
“The Property Council award recognises companies that have implemented and delivered initiatives that benefit our people, from strategic leadership development, to committed workplace health and wellbeing, and effective policy and practice that embrace diversity and inclusion,” he said.
“This achievement for Knight Frank can be attributed to a series of strategic initiatives and programs introduced over the past year, characterised by a transformative change in leadership, the formation of a new agency team, innovative marketing efforts, and a strong emphasis on culture-building activities.
“Our initiatives have given our employees enhanced job satisfaction and morale, opportunities for professional growth, work-life balance and a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
“Winning this award is not just a celebration of our success, but of the passion, dedication, and care every member of our team brings to the table. We strive to create an environment where our people can thrive, innovate, and feel supported every step of the way.
“Having a more engaged workforce benefits our office, our clients, the community and the real estate industry at large.”
