National independent property valuation firm M3 Property has announced the appointment of Richard Ong as Head of Property Risk. Richard has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry in a range of roles focused on quality, quality assurance management and valuation, most recently as a Valuation Manager at NAB.

“The Head of Property Risk is a new leadership role at M3 Property, underscoring our commitment to continuous improvement of our risk management framework and the quality of our valuation and advisory services,” said Andrew Duguid, M3 Property CEO.

“Richard is a true expert in this field and I’m confident his appointment will help us achieve those goals. Richard’s extensive experience and the high esteem in which he is held by his peers will add to our already exceptional leadership team, enabling us to further strengthen the way we work with our clients across the country,” said Mr Duguid.

Richard is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute (API), a Certified Practising Valuer and he also contributes his time as a member of the NSW State Committee of the API. Prior to his role at NAB, Richard held senior roles for over a decade at JLL, LMW, Westpan and Opteon.

Richard will contribute valuable specialist expertise to clients across M3 Property’s portfolio in sectors such as Health and Aged Care, Industrial, Office, Residential Development, Retail and Specialised Assets. The firm also works with financiers, corporations, private investors and the government, providing services for institutional valuations; acquisition and disposal; balance sheet and financial reporting; portfolio valuations; financial valuations for mortgage lending; and consulting and advisory services.

The announcement follows the recent appointments of Ed Hine as Director of Commercial in NSW, and Anthony Schober as Director of Hotels & Leisure in Victoria.
