Independent Brisbane education provider Hubbard’s School leased a new location 100m up the road to Kings Row on Coronation Drive, brokered by JLL’s Xavier Cooke.
Independent Brisbane education provider Hubbard’s School is moving to bespoke new premises in the heart of Milton.
The co-educational facility for Years 11 and 12, which has been based at 15 Lang Parade, Milton, for almost 30 years, will move approximately 100m up the road to Kings Row on Coronation Drive.
JLL’s Xavier Cooke, who brokered the deal, said it had taken a 10-year lease for a ground-floor, two-tenancy premises – including 10 car parks – in a deal struck at the market rate.
This would allow for enhanced facilities including additional classrooms and flexible spaces, a dedicated student break-out room and a lush green outdoor space, helping cater to strengthening enrolment demand.
“Hubbard’s enjoys a strong reputation for alternative education pathways that can accommodate students who require a flexible education program to cater to their personal situations,” Mr Cooke said.
“It’s an area of need that has enjoyed a long-term legacy, but with the space restrictions of its current premises, it was time for a long-awaited expansion and upgrade in location.”
“That was a key driver of the impetus to move. But the school didn’t want to go far, capitalising on the convenience of Milton’s transport connectivity and noting the high proportion of students who travel in from the western suburbs to attend Hubbard’s.
“A bespoke fitout of the new premises also allows for a significant upgrade in facilities, with the Kings Row tenancy providing a shell from which to carve out a contemporary educational facility.”
Hubbard’s School principal Cathy Pappalardo said: “We are excited to offer our students an even more supportive and engaging environment that aligns with our mission of providing an alternative and inclusive education environment for academic students. Our new facilities will not only enhance the learning experience, but also provide a space where students can feel at home.”
Hubbard’s will officially open the doors of its new home on January 17, 2025, welcoming returning and new students amongst a cohort that will number approximately 100 students.
