The prominent 12,025sqm, A-grade office complex is already home to high profile tenants such as Children’s Heath Queensland, engineering services firm UGL and Minor DKL Food Group. The building has also benefitted from an end of trip refurbishment.
Octopus Deploy has leased levels four and five in the 15-level building, which is situated within South Bank’s recreational, retail and cultural precinct.
“The tenant saw benefit in being situated in the heart of South Bank in a building directly adjacent to the train station and surrounded by significant retail amenity,” Mr O’Brien said.
“They also liked the creative feel of the tenancy, which is spread over two levels with a double height ceiling void.”
Mr O’Brien said Octopus Deploy would be undertaking its own fit out design and had not seen benefit in moving to an already fitted out premises.
The agents where unable to comment on the rental rate however face rent is believed to be between $600 to $650 per SQM per annum.
Having previously occupied office space in the Brisbane CBD, Octopus Deploy is the latest firm to commit to South Brisbane, joining major occupiers such as Virgin, Hastings Deering and Acciona, who all committed to the building last year.
