The property was acquired by a first time entrant to the Australian commercial property sector who resides in China and was attracted to the blue-chip nature of the tenant.
“They did not place much emphasis on the scale of the landholding due to the limited scope for development upside given the location, however they were attracted to the net lease structure and secure lease term of 10 years” said Mr Heng.
The result is testament to the time invested by the CBRE Asia Desk into educating the Asian market on a range of different asset classes and property nuances, which has played a significant role in achieving a result that defies the odds and market expectations.
“Investors in China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan want more investments in Australia due to the stable economic & political landscape” Mr Heng continued.
“Many overseas investors are looking to migrate to Australia and want to be set-up with an array of blue-chip assets for when they are settle into the country” Mr Heng continued.
