Salesforce Tower, Sydney’s tallest office building located within Lendlease’s Sydney Place development in Circular Quay, has been awarded a 6 Star Green  Star - Design & As-Built v1.1 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). 

Representing world leadership in sustainable design and construction, the GBCA’s 6 Star  certification recognises the sustainability outcomes achieved across nine holistic impact  categories. 

As a fully leased commercial building, Salesforce Tower is meeting the growing demand by  progressive tenants looking for sustainable, healthy and resilient workplaces which reflect their  own corporate sustainability aspirations and targets.  

A number of initiatives have contributed to the building’s 6 Star rating, including water efficient and  climate resilient design; responsibly sourced materials; and carbon neutral construction. Advanced  workplace sensors that monitor air quality, temperature, acoustics and lighting levels, together with  electric vehicle charging stations and a tenant-exclusive EV car share program also contributed to the 6 Star rating. 

Salesforce Tower’s Eco-Concierge service also assists tenants to operate a more sustainable  workplace and fully realise the benefits of the sustainable design features and innovations. 

Salesforce Tower was developed and constructed by Lendlease with investors comprising Ping An  Real Estate, Mitsubishi Estate Asia and APPF Commercial, with Lendlease undertaking the  investment management and asset management. 

Across its investment management, development and construction operations, Lendlease is  targeting Net Zero Carbon by 2025 for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and Absolute Zero Carbon by  2040 for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, without the use of offsets – some of the most ambitious  decarbonisation targets in the industry.
